Phormium, Bronze Baby

New Zealand flax describes common New Zealand perennial plants Phormium tenax and Phormium cookianum, known by the Māori names harakeke and wharariki respectively. They are quite distinct from the Northern Hemisphere plant known as flax (Linum usitatissimum), but the genus was given the common name 'flax' by Anglophone Europeans as it too could be used for its fibres.


Crassula multicava

Crassula multicava is a perennial succulent plant from the family Crassulaceae. It is also known under various common names including the fairy crassula, pitted crassula and London pride. The fairy crassula is a native of South Africa, particularly the mountainous regions of Natal.


Lavandula Dentata

Lavandula dentata is a species of lavender and is one of the species known by the English common name French lavender. It is native to the Mediterranean region. It is commonly grown as an ornamental plant and its essential oil is used in perfumes.


Musa

Musa is one of three genera in the family Musaceae; it includes bananas and plantains. There are over 50 species of Musa with a broad variety of uses. Though they grow as high as trees, banana and plantain plants are not woody and their apparent "stem" is just the bases of the huge leaf stalks.

Nandina Pygmaea

Dwarf Sacred Bamboo. It is an evergreen shrub, used for its foliage and will apparantly endure diverse growing conditions. It grows well in a container and can be used as a background plant, low hedge, in a shrub border and as a groundcover. It grows in full sun or partial shade (green leaves) preferring moist, but well-drained soil.

Ophiopogon Vittatus

Beautifully variegated cream and green foliage arches from the center of this hardy clump forming perennial. Use in mass, as a border, or as single specimens. Adaptable and easy.

Philodendron

Philodendron is a large genus of flowering plants in the Araceae family, consisting of close to 900 or more species according to TROPICOS (a service of the Missouri Botanical Garden), the genus is the second largest member of the arum family.

Clivia Miniata

Clivia miniata (commonly known as Bush lily) is a species of clivia, from South Africa. It grows to a height of about 45 cm in the shade of trees and shrubs, and flowers are red, orange or yellow, with a faint, but very sweet perfume.

Equisetum



Equisetum ( /ˌɛkwɨˈsiːtəm/; horsetail, snake grass, puzzlegrass) is the only living genus in the Equisetaceae, a family of vascular plants that reproduce by spores rather than seeds.

Juncus Effusus

Soft Rush (Juncus effusus) is a member of the genus Juncus. Native to most continents and hence also known as Common Rush, this plant is found growing in wet areas, such as the purple moor-grass and rush pastures and fen-meadow plant associations in the United Kingdom.

Tradescantia

Tradescantia ( /ˌtrædɨˈskæntiə/),[2] the Spiderworts, is a genus of an estimated 71 species of perennial plants in the family Commelinaceae, native to the New World from southern Canada south to northern Argentina. They are weakly upright to scrambling plants, growing to 30–60 cm tall, and are commonly found individually or in clumps in wooded areas and fields.

Ophiopogon Jaburan

Lilyturf is a name used in the United States to refer to a group of low growing, grass-like perennials that are often used in landscaping for ground cover. The name may be applied to species of both the genus Liriope, and to the related genus Ophiopogon. Cultivated members of the latter genus may also be called mondo grass.
